Will window film make my rooms dark?
Not unless you want it to. Home film comes in much lighter shades than car tint, and the lighter ones cut heat and glare while barely changing how bright the room looks.
The heat rejection comes from the film’s construction rather than from how dark it is, which is why a light film can still take the edge off a west-facing room.
Does window film stop furniture and floors fading?
It slows it down considerably. UV is the single biggest cause of fading in fabric, wood and artwork, and window film blocks the large majority of it.
Heat and visible light also contribute, so film reduces fading rather than stopping it outright. Rooms with big south or west-facing windows see the clearest difference.
Can film go on any window in my house?
Most of them, but not all films suit every window. Double-pane and low-e glass need a film matched to them, because the wrong pairing can trap heat between the panes.

How much does home window tinting cost?
It is quoted per job. Homes vary too much for a fixed price list: the number of windows, their size and shape, the type of glass and the access all move the number.
